Om man tenker å benytte denne i båt, kan den blandt annet sende GPS informasjon til kartplottere over nettverket (både wifi og lan), fint på lystbåter som ikke har krav til GPS og kan fungere som en GPS nødkilde om din primære GPS skulle slutte å fungere.
